From Wroclaw to Łódź, and many, many stops in between. What a ride it’s been.
Poland was the first country Agileday stepped into outside Finland and Sweden, and from the beginning, it felt like the right move. Not because of the food or the sightseeing - unfortunately, we haven’t had much time for that - but because of what we found on the ground. A wave of ambitious, globally minded software houses were rethinking how things should be done, and we wanted to be part of that. Along the way, we’ve seen a lot of cities, train carriages, new streets, and offices. We’ve met the people behind the companies. And yes, we’ve dropped off more than a few boxes of Finnish chocolate.
Since then, we’ve spent months on the ground. Listening. Learning. And gradually shaping both our product and our presence to fit.
Here’s a bit of what that’s looked like.
Since spring 2023, we’ve spent over nine weeks in Poland and met with hundreds of software houses and consulting companies. Every city has its own vibe. Every company has its own way of operating. But the topics that were front of mind? Surprisingly similar:
These weren’t just sales meetings. They were real conversations. Sometimes tough, always honest - and always helpful. They’ve had a real impact on how we’ve built Agileday. From feature decisions to pricing models.
Some of our most-used features were shaped directly by Polish companies. Just a few examples:
The subcontractor model is huge in Poland. It’s flexible and fast... until it isn’t. Managing dozens (or hundreds) of freelancers in spreadsheets? That’s a whole different story.
That’s why we focused on building something that actually helps: centralized workflows and real-time clarity on who’s working, on what, and when.
The past couple of years haven’t been easy for anyone. Polish firms have felt the same pressure: longer sales cycles, tighter budgets, and shifting client expectations. In that kind of environment, it’s all about being prepared.
Agileday helps teams stay on top of what’s happening - even when things change fast. It gives visibility, flexibility, and structure when you need it most. And when the market picks up again, you’re already in a good place to grow.
We’ve always believed you can’t build trust without showing up. That’s why we’ve joined Software Development Association (SoDA), spoken at events, hosted webinars, and attended more than a few early morning breakfasts.
We’ve connected with Digital Business Alliance (DBA), IT Corner, Infoshare, and a lot of great people along the way.
Gdańsk. Katowice. Gliwice. Jeszcze wrócimy. We’ll be back.
In the end, we’re not just building software. We’re building partnerships. And Poland has already given us some of the best ones.
We’ve onboarded amazing teams - from boutique consultancies to fast-scaling firms. We’ve solved tricky edge cases, celebrated launches, and shared a lot of laughs.
Personally, I’ve really enjoyed every trip. The food, the people, the directness - and yes, the Polish language that I’m still trying to learn.
Seeing these companies succeed with Agileday? That’s what gives me energy. And that's why we’ll keep coming back.
